leaving for our 4 minutes at the curb...

Set apart the night before...

Leaving for two years....

This picture makes me cry, Jace looked back and said "come on Mom, it's time to go..."

So we were told by some friends that we could go park and walk him down to the "curb" and take some pictures....wanted to get pictures by the MTC sign like we did with Jordan....sign is gone!
Man in the parking lot said "oh no, we are not set up for that anymore, you will have to drive him down and then you will have about 4 minutes to say good bye"....yes the tears started flowing.....

Sure enough we got to our curb spot, left the car running and an Elder was there to open Jace's door and help him out, asked if he had any keys or cell phone in his pockets, nope, did he know where his immunization record was and could access easily? Yes...okay Elder say good bye....

So with the car still running...good byes started, I did get the last hug and have to say I don't care for the curb drop off....we went in the MTC with Jordan and watched the sappy movies, but liked it better, this curb side thing was a toughy!

Jordan was excited for him I think more than anything because he knows what lays in front of him....he has been a great resource and example!

Jace is so his Dad in this picture, makes me cry and smile!

These two could be serving at the same time for a period so this is very bitter sweet, could be 3.5-4 years before they see each other again.....

Jax has had a very hard time with him leaving...they became close during the four weeks Jacer was home before this day....

When we got to the curb to park, Ross lost it, I looked at him and through my own tears said come on we only have 4 minutes....

Last words of love and advice....

Just like a little kid ready for kindergarten, he was off, a few tears from him, but I have to say I think he has been so ready since his football season ended at SVU....

God Speed little man....
The whole curb side drop off was so hard, doesn't matter how quickly you pull that bandaid off still hurts really bad!
